While we have done our best to make the purchasing and checkout as easy as possible, we are using a generic automated system and not everything is always the way we’d like it! Please find below a few bits of useful information that will enhance your experience with our shopping system.
Delivery
We are a delivery only business. We delivery on Tuesdays from 6-9pm in Alexandria, Arlington, McLean, Bethesda and Washington DC. All orders made by 9pm on Sunday will be delivered the following Tuesday. $12.50 for delivery is automatically added at checkout although delivery for orders over $100 is free. Since some of our foods are frozen or chilled, if you can’t be home, please leave a cooler for your items.
Product Availability
Due to the nature of our business we do not always have everything available, but we do try our best! We work closely with the farmers to keep a full inventory, but in order to constantly be providing the freshest food we can not maintain a large inventory. Because of this some products will run out in between deliveries. Join us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up-to-date on our deliveries. We restock as soon as products are available.
Browsing:
You can browse our shop by either using the photo menu on the home page, or the product list that is in the second column of every page. They all lead to the same places.
Adding to Cart
Meat: In order for you to have a final total at checkout, we have listed every cut of meat that we have to offer. We list these separately by their weight and calculated cost. This means that if you want two porterhouse steaks, for instance, you need to add two of our listed porterhouses to your shopping cart. In this manner you are getting exactly what you want every time.
Other items: With all other items you can increase the quantity once you are in the shopping cart. If you want 3 jars of honey, add one to the cart from our shop, then once you go to checkout you can increase the quantity to 3.
Payment
Our current system accepts both Visa and Paypal for payment. Please read (more about payments) if you are not familiar with Paypal, or if you have a paypal account and would rather use Visa. Paypal will default you to it’s system, but there is an easy way to get around that, which we have explained on that page.
